Great Joy

When we asked this Sedona Destination Weddings Bride:

“How much do you love your new husband?”

She respondedby throwing her arms up with joy as if to embrace the entire moment.

She loves him so much that she planned the perfect romantic elopement to Sedona.

Sedona did not disappoint.  She enveloped this joyous couple with a stunning Sunset at spectacular Red Rock Crossing with majestic Cathedral Rock rising up above.

This was a moment and a Wedding that her Groom will hold dear in his heart forever.

This is what pulling off the perfect Elopement looks like.  Pure Bliss!

The New Old West

This is such a fun and fabulous idea. An Old Western Style Wedding in the Red Rocks.
These His and her Cowboy hats look so romantic with a beautiful bouquet in the Sunset.
YeeHaa!

Red Rock Cathedral Bride

World famous Cathedral Rock at Red Rock Crossing

Stunning Bride.

Gorgeous Dress.

Mix together with Love and tenderness, humor and Joy and you have the perfect recipe for a fabulous, unforgettable, romantic and magical Sedona Destination Wedding!

This truly was a day that this Bride will remember and cherish for a lifetime.

Oak Creek Bride

This very beautiful Sedona Bride looks like a water maiden and her cute little ring bearer looks like a water sprite himself!

In the summertime early morning Weddings along the banks of lush Oak Creek are cool and full of summer sparkle.

Giant cottonwoods reflect in the waters surface and the temperature is perfect.

This Wedding took place at Red Rock Crossing. This is a popular Sunset Wedding Location but as you can see mornings here are magical too.

Sedona Wedding Guest

An unexpected guest attended our Valentine’s Day Wedding on the banks of Oak Creek at Red Rock Crossing.

A duck is a great omen. Ducks mate for life and this handsome male was there with his mate. A very special blessing for the lucky couple.

Ducks also let everything flow off their back. They go with the flow in the Creek of life.

Duck is a powerful teacher. I always say when Quack Quack is headed your way – practice Duck Medicine and DUCK!!

The Sedona Bride and Groom

After a memorable and beautiful Wedding by the Creek a Sedona Bride and Groom stroll happily and in a haze of love towards their future and their lives together.

Such a gentle, rich and fulfilled moment and one that we are honored to be a part of.

Sedona Bride

Red Rock Crossing is a beautiful Wedding location in the early morning hours. The place is quiet – you might have some ducks swim by or a heron fly overhead – and once a horse came down to the water to drink.

Cathedral Rock at Red Rock crossing is the second most photographed spot in Arizona after the Grand Canyon. The morning hours here hold a special charm. Calm, quiet deserted. This is when Sedona’s magic really shines.

Cathedral stands tall and majestic above you and shimmers in the water below you.

Our beautiful Sedona Bride seems to be in Bliss. Soaking up the morning, the sun, the beauty and the love on her special day.

The Wedding Walk

I love the Wedding Walk. The new Mr and Mrs strolling towards their new life together. It’s like the first dance here in Sedona. This one is under the big shade trees of Oak Creek at Red Rock Crossing.

The Bride and Groom are always in a happy haze. We did it. We’re married!! Such a joyous walk in such a beautiful place.

This was especially happy because our groom contacted me 7 months before from active duty in Afghanistan!! I prayed for him until the moment he called me state side and said “I’m back, Reverend Iala. And I’m ready to get married.”

I was never so happy to see a Groom in all my life. I am sure his Bride felt the same way.

We like to honor all our men and women in service. That is why we have our 10% Military Discount on all packages.

Love’s Longevity

This is one of the Giant Cottonwood Trees that you find along the banks of Oak Creek in Sedona.

They stand testament to many stories of many Brides and Grooms. Their majesty and their wisdom, their silent tales of many generations lends a special strength and support to a Sedona Wedding.
This Cottonwood tree is hundreds of years old and lends a wonderful backdrop to this couple along with a promise of Love’s enduring nature.

Sedona Wedding Joy

A light and happy moment between a Bride and her Maid of Honor. Sedona Destination Weddings are full of such moments of Joy and Celebration.
Your Sedona Wedding will be one of your Life’s Big Moments. We will make sure that the whole event is stress free and heartfelt so you can celebrate with your family and friends and let your Joy and your Love shine.

11-11-11

It’s not too early to begin thinking about 11-11-11 Weddings.
In fact this is a perfect time to book. Especially if you want the 11 a.m. time slot.

We have several packages we are creating for that day and three great Wedding Sites picked out. Red Rock Crossing, Huckabee Trailhead and Sweet Sugar Loaf at the Singing Rock. There are a limited number of Weddings at each location – another reason to plan ahead and reserve your spot and your package!

Each of these locations are breathtakingly beautiful and easily accessible.

I’ll outline the packages in future postings and post them on our website as well.

Many Vendors are charging more for their services that day and the Forestry will insist on shuttles for large Wedding parties so keep that in mind when budgeting for that special day.

We will make it as smooth and stress free and magical as possible for you and your Sedona Wedding.

11-11-11 promises to be a major portal, gateway and opening to a life filled with Love and Happiness – a fantastic day to get married and a magnificent day to get married in Sedona.

Sedona’s powerful magnetic field will intensify the Love and the Joy.

Early November is a lovely time in Sedona. The leaves are vibrant colors adding to the awesome beauty of the Red Rocks.

Stay tuned for those packages – they are coming soon.

Wedding Sites – Red Rock Crossing

Sedona has so many awesome and breathtakingly beautiful Wedding Sites.

Some are easily accessible while others are accessed by a short hike, a bit of a climb or even a Jeep ride!

Wherever you are the Red Rocks are magnificent and the Vistas provide a fabulous backdrop for your Wedding Ceremony.

The most popular Wedding Site by far is Red Rock Crossing. This is located right on Oak Creek with a magnificent view of Cathedral Rock. In fact this is the second most photographed location in Arizona after the Grand Canyon.

Red Rock Crossing is one of Sedona’s Vortexes. This is a magnetic Vortex. The energy here is very feminine and nurturing. It is a wonderful spot to plant the seeds of a new marriage.

This is the easiest access location. Even grandma and grandpa can come. We have had many Weddings here with guests in wheelchairs.

My favorite time of the day here is early morning – Wedding parties before 11 a.m. can be assured of parking. There will be very few people – even in the summer time and weekends and the light is other worldly. At that time of the day we can even capture Cathedral reflected in the waters of Oak Creek.

This is such a popular location that on 10-10-10 there were 35 Weddings at Red Rock Crossing. Sedona Destination Weddings performed 7 of them.

There are other sites equally beautiful and romantic but less well known and more off the beaten track. I plan to share them with you in future blogs.

Blessings
Iala

10-10-10 Update

10-10-10 was a fabulous day!!

Eight Weddings. The sun was shining, the sky was blue, the temperature was perfect. Sedona was the ultimate place to have a 10-10-10 wedding.

I heard on the news that 30,000 couples got married on that day!! talk about popular. 35 of those couples got married at Red Rock Crossing here in Sedona. Red Rock Crossing was the most popular location and 7 of our Weddings took place there.

At one point my husband was on one side of the Creek marrying a couple, I was on the other and there were two Weddings further along the creek above me.

Talk about a day filled with JOY.

All of our Bride’s were beautiful and our grooms dashing. I will post some pictures soon.

Patricia our photographer was kept busy snapping pictures all day. Akal played the flute at one wedding, was the Shamanic Officiant at another. Then he officiated at three others. I officiated 5 of the weddings. All of us kept getting higher and higher and more and more joy filled.

It really was a special day of deepening Unity.

May the Divine Bless all of the Couples married on 10-10-10

10-10-10

The countdown is on for our 10-10-10 Weddings. People began booking that day last October. It has proven to be the most popular day for Weddings that we and all of Sedona have ever had.
I just read this about the 10-10-10:

What is 10-10-10?
The number 10 represents Rebirth. The triple 10-10-10 of Oct. 10, 2010. Brings in the triggers of completion of jouneys, returns to origins, perfection, fulfillment, the return to unity, and closure for those of us ready (after the wild past 10 months of 2010) to move through another 3D triple Initiatic Doorway or portal/gate and move up another important energy stair step during fall 2010. I suspect that on the immediate other side of the 10-10-10 portal/gate/stair step, we’re going to feel-for a while-much like we did during the very strange Zero Zone phase of December 2009; being deep within another stage of dying, transitioning, and being reborn into a very new level of being. (10 = 0 and 1 energies but at a higher octave of unity.

The part about perfection and the return to Unity might explain why so many couples have been drawn to this day for their Wedding.

Sedona Destination Weddings will be officiating 8 weddings on that day.

We begin at 10 in the morning with Tina and Roger and a powerful Shamanic Ceremony at Red Rock Crossing.

It promises to be a day of Great Celebration and Joy and we get to bask in the love until Sunset!!

I’ll keep you posted on all the high lights of the day.

Blessings
