The Ring Vows

Wedding Rings are a symbol, a daily reminder of the Marriage Vows you have taken.

There are many lovely Ring Vows.  Here’s a very sweet example:

Groom:

With this ring, I give you my promise

that my heart will be your shelter,

My arms your home.

We will walk together through all things.

Know that you are deeply loved.

I feel honored to henceforth call you my wife

and fortunate to forever call you my Love.

Joining Two Lives

We have so many beautiful pictures of two hands joining. Our couples holding hands are a symbol of the joining of two lives, two separate histories,

two families uniting to form a new path and a new life before them.
The rings they wear are a symbol of the vows they have spoken.

May these rings be to the end of their lives their most precious adornment.

A Sedona Ring Blessing

Sedona Destination Weddings has a a special Ring Blessing Tradition.
First we fill a Tibetan Bowl with water from Oak Creek. Oak Creek is considered sacred by the local tribes. I call it the Ganges of America. This then is Holy or Sacred Water.
The Wedding Rings are placed in the water at the beginning of the Ceremony. They are being cleansed and empowered with the Words of the Ceremony and the Vows of the Bride and Groom.
When it is time to exchange rings our Officiant further Blesses the Rings by ringing a bell over them and calling for a Blessing for the Marriage and for the Couple to wear these rings as a reminder of the Vows they have spoken.
After the Ceremony the Bride and Groom and all the guests take turns scooping out a bit of the Sacred Water and sprinkling it on the Rocks – giving the precious water back to the desert and as they do so saying a Blessing for the Marriage. It is a lovely way to include everyone in your Celebration.
The last of the water is given back by the Officiant with this Blessing:
MAY THE RAIN OF BLESSING FROM THIS DAY FALL ON EVERYONE.

Less is More

This photo is of a very ecstatic Ralph and Marcy on their Sedona Wedding Day last September.

Ralph and Marcy are highschool sweethearts with a great story. They went their own way in life and both got married to other people. It was Ralph’s ex-wife of 19 years who found Marcy on the internet and gave her contact info to Ralph!!

They reconnected and have been together ever since.

Ralph took great pains to arrange the perfect Sedona elopement.
He booked our Sedona Memories Package

We arranged the site permit and met him at the Back o’ Beyond Trailhead with a photographer, officiant and one witness. That’s when Ralph and Marcy realized they left their wedding rings back at the hotel.

Thinking quickly our witness fashioned two beautiful rings from some red string he found in his car. We all laughed so much at these new rings and yet when the time came to exchange rings and the strings were blessed and they tied them on each others fingers – those rings became a symbol of all they had been through to come to that moment. There were tears in all of our eyes as those string rings became more precious than gold.

Less really is more – you can tell by their Leap of Joy!
